Hey! I’m Dr. Megan (she/her). I am a Portland transplant by way of Dallas, TX but I grew up in Central California. After graduating from University High School in Fresno, CA, I made my way to UC Davis where I studied Neurobiology, Physiology and Human Behavior. My plan was to attend medical school to pursue Neurosurgery. I quickly realized that I didn’t love going to hospitals everyday but had no idea what else I wanted to do.
I took a summer volunteering positing with the Epilepsy Foundation and was working with kids with epilepsy and their medical teams. It was at this summer camp that I first spoke with a chiropractor. Like most people, I thought chiropractic was only helpful for back and neck pain and I was curious about why a child with epilepsy would see a chiropractor. I had never made the connection between the spine and nervous system and how the relationship of your spinal bones to your spinal cord could actually influence your overall health. I was HOOKED and changed my path to pursue a career as a chiropractor.
My mission is to help people of all body sizes live life at their highest potential. I am a plus-size activist with the goal of showing the world that you can be healthy at every size and that if you have a larger body, it does not mean you are unhealthy. On the opposite end of the spectrum, if you are experiencing health issues, it may not directly correlate to your weight. I want to help my patients connect with their body and foster a self-love that can help them heal from the inside out.
I am an avid rock and mountain climber. If I’m not in the office, you can bet I’m dangling off a mountain face somewhere with my partner Andy.
Hi! I’m Crista (she/her). I have been in practice for over 15 years and specialize in deep tissue and advanced myofascial techniques for manual therapy. Other types of massages I am able to perform include Swedish, Cranio-Sacral, and Basic Thai. I also have extensive experience with manual lymphatic drainage.
I have been in multiple motor vehicle accidents which helped me develop a deep understanding of client needs associated with whiplash and other biomechanical soft tissue injuries.
Whether you are looking to relax or focused injury healing, I’ve got a massage style in my toolbox for you!
In my spare time, you will find me kayaking and rock climbing.
